Each of our social care workers are trained to provide care in a way that is discreet and respects your personal boundaries. Furthermore, we conform to all the legal requirements for organisations who work with vulnerable adults, they supply references and are fully vetted by the Disclosure & Barring Service [DBS].
We provide an exceptional induction into the company and ensure all necessary training is undertaken. Encouraging staff to take-up further development opportunities, such as relevant professional training, short courses, e-learning, shadowing more experienced care workers, NVQ's.
As a young mother of two fine boys, I began my career in health care. After having been in the health care business for over 20 years, in 2012, I decided to open the doors of Gentle Folk Community Care. To this day I still feel privileged to be welcomed into so many homes, met so many families, and cared for such a diverse group of clients.

Personal care is a term we use to refer to supporting you with personal hygiene and toileting, along with dressing and maintaining your personal appearance.
Some personal care tasks include:
We offer both regular and one-off support (1 hour weekly minimum) with the following tasks:
Isolation (even if perceived) and loneliness can be overcome by our companionship and sitting service. Our friendly care assistants will build a rapport and often become good friends with your loved one.
Our care assistants can carry out many tasks such as washing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, oven cleaning and even dusting.
We will be able to complete your laundry and ironing, as well as any other duties you may need help with.
Our services aren’t just confined to the home. Care assistants can go out to collect food shopping and other essentials, as well as run errands such as going to the Post Office or picking up prescriptions for example.
Adhering to your specific dietary requirements, and personal preferences, is something that all of our care assistants are trained in. They are able to prepare delicious and nutritious meals that suit your own tastes as well as cleaning up afterwards.
Overnight [Waking and Sleeping]
Overnight care can ease yours or your loved one’s anxiety about being alone at night. It also helps in many other ways, including:
Above all else, finding reliable overnight care is sometimes the deciding factor in allowing people to stay in their own home, rather than considering residential care.
